This is a very beautiful hike on Lake Maggiore. We start from Cannobio to visit the medieval village of Carmine Superiore, which is reachable only on foot, and enjoy the breathtaking view on the lake surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation. Guided visit to the San Gottardo Church (XIV century), usually closed, to discover its frescoes and architecture. In the afternoon we head back to Cannobio by private boat.

Suitable walking shoes are required – please no flip flops! We suggest walking/hiking boots in good conditions and with non-slip soles. If the tour has to be canceled due to unfavourable weather conditions, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund.
After the first ascent we walk the path leading to the castle-like village of Carmine Superiore with its Romanesque church and frescoes. The San Gottardo Church of Carmine Superiore is a real jewel centered between the mountains of the Cannobina Valley and the wonderful view over Lake Maggiore.
After a visit to the San Gottardo Church (XIV century) we continue ths beautiful hike on Lake Maggiore towards Cannero Riviera with a glance at the legendary castles which emerge from the lake. Walking through the centre of Cannero Riviera we eventually meet our private boat to return to Cannobio.
